Thelma L. Howard, 85, Crafordsville and formerly of Wingate, died 12:35 p.m. Wednesday in Williamsburg Health Care Center. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker. She was an alamo HS graduate. She was a Smartsburg Christian Church member. She was born May 15, 1915 at Fairmount, Ill to Harvey L. and Goldia E. See Runyan (sic). She married Jesse E. Howard on Oct 5, 1935. He died Jan 22, 1995. Survivors include one son, Donald W. Howard, Wingate; four daughters, Donna Sue Pruett, Linda L. Cope, Jane E. Armstrong, all of Crawfordsville; Betty L. Light, New Market; two brothers, George Runyon (sic), Ft. Worth, Tex; Gerald Runyon, Clay City;l 17 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren. Funeral services are schedule for 11 a.m. Saturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Paul Remick officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smartsburg christian church. - kbz
